Ian Breeds, a dedicated actor, scriptwriter, visionary director, and passionate acting and filmmaking teacher, has built a distinguished career marked by exceptional performances, captivating narratives, and inspiring learning experiences.

Educated at Afilm International Film Workshops and the Court Theatre Training Company, Ian co-founded Creation Drama Studio in 2015.

As the Lead Facilitator, he designs curriculum, guides instructors, and conducts engaging workshops, emphasising acting techniques, script analysis, and filmmaking fundamentals. Ian fosters a supportive learning environment, leading collaborative film projects and organising celebratory events, such as film screenings and theatrical performances, to celebrate student achievements and provides constructive feedback to facilitate growth and improvement.

Leading a team of workshop instructors, he provides guidance, mentorship, and training for consistent and high-quality facilitation.

In his role as a Writer and Director at Quint-Essential Theatre Company from 2011 to 2015, Ian conceptualised, wrote, and directed successful original plays. His imaginative narratives and innovative staging techniques received acclaim, and he collaborated closely with actors, designers, and technical crews to ensure seamless execution.

Leading casting processes, conducting rehearsals, and facilitating workshops for emerging actors further contributed to the growth of local theatre talent.

Ian's acting experience encompasses notable performances in theatre productions such as "Mannequin," "To Kill a Mockingbird," "The Strangeness of Others," and "The Fire Raisers." His film credits include roles in "Prescient," "The Supers," "Lost Night Barcelona," "The Forsaken," and "The Afterglow."

As a writer and director, Ian has made significant contributions with theatre productions such as "The Evacuee," "The Tea Party," "Dark Tales," and short films including "Lilith," "Corner of the Eye,”and "The Appieorth" .

Ian's impact on the industry is defined not only by his artistic prowess but also by his dedication to inspiring the next generation of actors and filmmakers, creating a nurturing environment that encourages growth and creativity.
